Is there a strap for between tge baby's legs?
No, there is not a strap between the legs. It goes over shoulders and clips around back. I bought this thinking it had it. If the baby slips down, they would be in the water. It's friction holding them there. My nephew is 2.5 and it was too loose around his back. That strap is not adjustable.
What size should I get for a 16lb, 24in long, 4 month old baby that seems to be growing quickly....
I would suggest a large. I ordered a small for my baby and she’s four months but only 10 pounds and 20in that doesn’t grow fast and fits very well
Does it say Coast Guard Aproved on floate?
Got two for the twins and threw away...would have returned but was outside the return window
Does anything stop the baby from falling out?
No, but my grandson did not care for this at all. Threw it out.
How do the buckles work?
It was hard to figure how they were going, I recommend to include instructions with the package
